Some news
News Item 1: Sing, Goddess! is available now
Sing, Goddess! A YA Anthology of Greek Myth Retellings, edited by Jane Watson, is available now! I’m excited for everyone to read my retelling of the myth of Icarus, “Feathers on the Wind.” Set in ancient Greece and featuring a half-harpy girl who befriends Icarus, it follows the myth pretty closely but there are some changes. It was hilarious when I was giving my sister a progress update on the story before it was finished. “It’s pretty close to being done. I still have to kill Icarus, obviously, but—” And then her eyes bugged out. 😂 That’s not a spoiler, right? I told you it followed the myth! The question is, does he stay dead? You’ll have to read the story to find out!

News Item 2: First Chapter of One World on Patreon
If you are a fan of The Iamos Trilogy, I know you have been waiting patiently for a very long time for the last book in the series. I had been delayed by my chronic health problems worsening over the last couple years. I recently received a diagnosis of dysautonomia which helped explain some of the episodes I’ve been having, and also gave me a bit of help with my “brain fog.” I have been increasing my electrolytes and have noticed a definite improvement in my concentration levels as well as the constant state of confusion I’d been finding myself in.
So, the point of this is… work on One World has FINALLY been moving forward again! It is finally turning into something book-shaped that makes sense and is readable. I don’t have a concrete ETA for when it will be available, but I’m hoping it will be sometime early next year.
In the meantime, I am going to be sharing the first chapter of the book over on my Patreon on August 31! For $1 per month, Patrons have access to sneak peeks like that as well as other behind-the-scenes info. Patrons also have access to my entire catalogue of books written under both of my pen names. If you’re interested in becoming a Patron, it would be greatly appreciated!
